Forts of Rajasthan

DAY - 1 : Delhi Arrival.
Arrive Delhi airport / railway station by any convenient flight/train. You will be met and greeted upon arrival by our airport Manager and later transfer to hotel.
Our representative will escort you to the hotel and handover all your travel documents to you.
Night stay in hotel.


DAY - 2 : Delhi - Agra.                                             210 Kms & 04-05 Hrs.

Morning have your breakfast in the hotel. Later about at 9AM, pick up from hotel and proceed for the sightseeing of Old Delhi visit Jama Masjid (The Largest Mosque in India) and Red Fort. Also visit the India Gate, President House, Parliament House.

Later drive to Agra. Enroute visit the beautiful tomb of Akbar "Sikandra". Later continue drive to Agra. On arrival in Agra, check in at the hotel.

DAY - 3 : Agra - Jaipur.                                            250 Kms & 05-06 Hrs.
Early morning visit the famous monument of love the Taj Mahal at the time of sunrise. Return to hotel for late breakfast. Later check out from the hotel and proceed to visit the Agra Fort. Later continue drive to Jaipur. On the way you will visit Fatehpur Sikri - the deserted red sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital. Continue drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in to hotel.

DAY - 4 : Jaipur.

After breakfast depart for a half day excursion to Amber Fort, which is about 11 Kms from Jaipur, Amber Fort is a marvelous example of Rajput architecture with its terraces and ramparts reflected in the Maota Lake below. Go up the fort on the back of a gaily caparisoned elephant, true to the style of the Maharajas of the past.

The interior of the fort has various royal halls decorated with intricate ivory, mirror and glass work complemented by exquisite wall paintings.
Later transfer to a nice Indian restaurant, where you can have your lunch on your own.
 
Later continue for sightseeing of Jaipur City. This afternoon you will visit the City Palace Museum where you can see an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal Art. The museum is resplendent with its collection of robes of royal princes, carpets, an armoury of old weapons, miniature paintings portraying court scenes, battle scenes and processions, also visit the awe inspiring Jantar Mantar (an accurate observatory built in 1726 AD). Also included is a photo visit to the Hawa Mahal - a five storied wonder with a spectacular pyramidal facade and overhanging windows with latticed screens, domes and spires.

Day – 5 : Jaipur – Kuchaman.
Morning have your breakfast in the hotel and about 9 AM check out from hotel and drive to Kuchaman. On the way, we will visit the Sambar Salt Lake. Continue drive to Kuchaman. On arrival in Kuchaman, check in to Kuchaman Fort.
Night stay in Kuchaman Fort.

DAY - 6 : Kuchaman - Jodhpur.                              85 Kms & 01-02 Hrs.
Morning sightseeing of the Kuchaman Fort, this fort was built by Maharaja Jalim Singh. Later have breakfast in the hotel. Check out and drive to Jodhpur. On arrival in Jodhpur, check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort.  Also have a look at Jaswant Thada, a graceful marble cenotaph built 1899 for Mahrajaha Jaswant Singh II, and monuments to other Maharajahs of Jodhpur.

DAY - 7 : Jodhpur - Jaisalmer.                                295 Kms & 06-07 Hrs. 
Morning after a relaxed breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Jaisalmer. On arrival in Jaisalmer, check in at the hotel.

DAY - 8 : Jaisalmer.

After breakfast proceed for a sight seeing tour of Jaisalmer Fort – built on the highest point of the Tricuta hill,  consisting of 99 bastions. Outstanding features are Megh Durbar & various temples, Salim Singh-Ki-Haveli & Patwon–Ki-Haveli – some of the beautiful mansions with stone carving and latticework of breathe taking intricacy, followed by visit to Gadisar Lake.

After lunch drive to Khuri – 45 kms. On arrival in Khuri, we will provide camel ride in the desert for about 1 hour.

DAY - 9 : Jaisalmer - Bikaner.                                 320 Kms & 06-07 Hrs.
Morning after early breakfast leave Jaisalmer and drive to Bikaner, upon arrival in Bikaner, check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit the Junagarh Fort – constructed between 1588 and 1593 by Raja Rai Singh, fort has a 986 meter long wall with 37 bastions & two entrances, Bandh Sagar Temple – The 16th century Jain temple, is the most important temple of this complex. If time permits visit the camel breading centre.

DAY - 10 : Bikaner - Mandawa.                                 250 Kms & 05-06 Hrs.
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Mandawa. On arrival in Mandawa, check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit the beautiful painted havelies and houses.

DAY - 11 : Mandawa - Delhi - Departure.                260 Kms & 05-06 Hrs.
Morning after breakfast at the hotel, drive back to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi transfer to a nice Indian restaurant for a special farewell dinner, followed by transfer to Delhi airport to take flight for onwards destination.
